August 18 [10:00 EDT] -- After practicing her chops on audiences at the Lilith Fair, Sheryl Crow kicked off her own headlining tour Friday night at the Jones Beach Amphitheater outside of New York City.

If the maiden outing of the tour is any indication, fans can expect to hear all their Crow favorites, as the guitar-slinging singer belted out all her radio staples from her first hit "Leaving Las Vegas" to the current "A Change," and hit all the stops in between.

Fans can also expect to see their share of merchandise brandishing the logo of tour sponsor Tommy Hilfiger. In addition to the purely commercial Hilfiger items fans will find at Crow's shows, ticketholders will also find a special Hilfiger-designed tour T-shirt, sales of which will benefit breast cancer research.

Besides coming up with clothes for the audience, the designer will also be outfitting the singer throughout the tour. However, if Crow has undergone a Hilfiger make-over, it wasn't apparent Friday

night as she wore a rather Crow-like sleeveless white shirt and a tight pair of shiny, light blue pants.

Along for the ride with Crow this summer are Michael Penn (who picked up a past MTV Video Music Award winner for Best New Artist) and country-fried rockers Wilco. Penn is back with his latest effort, "Resigned," and Wilco is out in support of its critically acclaimed double album, "Being There." On Friday, both acts had a hard time expanding their fan bases as Sheryl Crow fans seemed to be uninterested in anything other than... well, Sheryl Crow.
