[NEWS] Point Break & Sheryl Crow - 25th Anniversary

As a recording artist, Sheryl's solo career begin in 1991, with the release of the soundtrack album of the cult movie "Point Break". Released on July 2, it featured ten tracks, including "Hundreds of Tears", a number penned by Sheryl herself and Bob Marlette few months earlier.

"Hundreds of Tears" was the first Sheryl's song published and distributed by a major record label. A slightly different version was later included in the track list of her first record titled "Sheryl Crow". The latter was recorded in 1992, before Tuesday Night Music Club, and was supposed to be her debut. However, both she and her record label decided to scrap the project, so ultimately it was never sold to the public. This means the Point Break version of "Hundred of Tears" is still the only official recording of this song.

Here's a video I edited few years ago to celebrate Point Break and Sheryl, as well as to remember Patrick Swayze, who died of pancreatic cancer in September of 2009.
